Chapter 52 - 51 - One Almost There...

[ Three days later... ]Ctaakk...

Ctaakk...

Time passed quite quickly while I was busy working as Doctor Portia’s assistant and taking care of several important tasks that Doctor Portia had deliberately left for me to take care of.

While she was busy taking care of some formal documents that would be submitted to the King, that was when I would be on duty as her representative in the refugee camp.

Just like usual, my morning was filled with the routine of loading bullets into the magazine and estimating the number of bullets my stepfamily had used for shooting practice.

For some reason I don’t understand, they split the physical training session and the shooting training session on top of the rocky hill.

I don’t really follow Melissa’s unique and strenuous training plan, but it has shown the progress of my stepfamily, who now have enough stamina to run without getting tired.

It typically takes a few weeks for the body to acclimate to a heavy training load.

However, Melissa’s training has exceeded that expectation.

With the regular release of stress and libido, my stepmother followed Melissa’s training with a big smile on her face.

Srrraasshh...

"Oh, Hans, are you ready to go to work again?" my stepmother asked after her morning jogging routine.

She entered the tent and almost hugged my body while she was covered in sweat. With a relaxed movement of dodging her, I tried not to be tempted by the smell of her sweat that stimulated my sexual desire.

Swwuusshh...

While I was dodging the hug that my stepmother was about to give me, Melissa entered the tent with my younger stepsister, who had been acting strange lately.

Her strange behavior wasn’t too obvious, and I could see her occasionally glancing at me with a sexual desire that she was holding back like a good girl.

If only Melissa hadn’t whispered about my younger stepsister pretending to be asleep and listening to her moans during her night service, I would have never noticed this.een bullets.

Based on my battle experience, the standard seventeen-round magazine is a little less reliable for long-term combat.

I’m also still annoyed that the Bonus Event that couldn’t happen a second time had to end quickly after I ran out of bullets.

Without a system screen capable of seeing the statistics of my strength, I had no idea how far the effects of the Bonus Event that had occurred the night before had gone.

"Haaahhh..." thinking about things that made me upset like this, I let out a heavy breath beside Melissa, who was reloading her magazine.

Ctaakk...

Ctaakk...

"Is there a serious problem, Master Hans?" Melissa asked, acting formal with me and stopping what she was doing at the moment.

"It’s okay, just feeling lazy when I have to go back to work."

"That’s a natural thing to happen, right?"

"Yeah, I just feel too lazy to work too seriously today," I tried to cover up my anxiety and annoyance regarding the Bonus Event that happened earlier.

Srruutt...

Srruutt...

By carrying four magazines containing nineteen bullets in them, I immediately rushed away from my stepfamily’s refugee tent.

Chhuupp...

Before I left my stepfamily’s refugee tent, Melissa stopped me and gave me a soft kiss on the lips.

"Have a good work, Master Hans..."

"If Master Hans feels stressed again, I can do night service again," said Melissa while showing her respect as a professional maid.

Melissa’s kiss instantly made my stepfamily jealous. Whether they were of the same genetic or not, both mother and daughter immediately puffed out their cheeks as if they didn’t like Melissa kissing me on the lips.

I immediately went out before any unwanted situation happened.

With quick steps, I immediately left my stepfamily’s refugee tent and rushed to a building where Doctor Portia worked.

As I walked towards Doctor Portia’s workplace, I could see a cargo horse cart being prepared for the trip back to the Royal Capital.

The royal family symbol on the cargo horse cart made me smile after seeing the first Chapter of this world’s eroge story unfold before my eyes.

The preparations I made to survive in the Royal Capital and life within the Royal Academy as a fallen noble were indeed not easy.

There are some preparations that I haven’t done, because I don’t have the free time to prepare them, one of which is increasing the level of the NPC character I’m currently possessing to above level 10.

Without the help of the system screen that can show the character’s status and my level, I can only estimate my current level, which is still at level 5.

Much lower than the minimum limit set by the upcoming Chapter one.

"Well, I’m not the main character in this world. So... it doesn’t really matter to me," I muttered as I continued walking towards the building where Doctor Portia worked.

Some of the villagers who had evacuate immediately greeted me with smiles.

I’ve been working for several days and have frequently encountered several villagers who have been neglected by Doctor Portia. Although I’m only an assistant, I have some authority in making decisions regarding emergency food and medical supplies.

Without wasting time and the working hours that were already in front of my eyes, I immediately entered the building where Doctor Portia worked and saw a royal knight coming towards me.

"Hans, before you come to Doctor Portia’s office, I suggest you knock on the door first. Doctor Portia and Kitano Mina are having an emergency meeting regarding the relocation of the refugee camp to the Royal Capital of Belfast," said the royal knight, making me realize that the storyline of this world was about to enter the first Chapter quickly.

"Thanks for the information, I’ll make sure to knock first," I replied as I continued walking into the building.

Tap...

Tap...

Right in front of me, I could see a door that connected to Doctor Portia’s office.

From a distance, I could hear voices coming from inside the room. They were quite loud and sounded like some stupid argument was going on inside.

"Should I take the day off today?" I muttered as I walked to Doctor Portia’s office.

Krraaakkk...

Before I could reach the door and knock, the door to the room opened wide as if inviting me to come in.

"..." I tried not to approach too quickly, but there was a wind magic that pulled my body into the room.

"Shit... why do I smell like overtime works?"
