Life Of A Nobody - as a Villain

Chapter 389: Arena and animals

Chapter 389: Arena and animals

ozhe other side of Cetum is the city of Por, ruled by monsters. In this city no one race or tribe ruled, in fact there was no rule in this city. Only one truth, strength reigns supreme.

And not the strength in numbers, or strength in family, but just pure raw strength.

If you could beat the leader, you could be the leader.

The whole city was just filled with criminals and cannibals, where these creatures just killed each other on regular bases.

That's why anyone who wasn't accepted by the world, was welcomed here. The freedom granted in this city to people was beyond measure if one had strength, hence it had a large number of monsters from every race and clan.

This city also had near top fighting power when it comes to war of clans. Cause that's the only time when a grand law is passed and no infighting is allowed in any way. Making these monsters who are used to seeing bloodshed everyday, hungry for battle.

Much like how hungry hounds become better hunters, they become better warriors.

And in this city of hellscape were dropped -Katherine, Morphius, Firsjen, Alaric, Lucille, Damon, Takashi and few more.

Maybe by luck, but all of them had one thing in common, they all had an attribute of craziness buried inside them.

Like Katherine, a cold killer who when going crazy could freeze a whole continent in the novel. OR Lucille, who with her calling powers called for the eldritch horrors into Arcadia while having a nightmare. Or Firsjen and Morphius, who would wage war between their clans over some petty ego.

Or Alaric, the hybrid who would cause massacres in both vampire and wolf tribes, so much so that these eternal enemies had to come together just to stop his hunt.

All these characters had some crazy feats about them in the novel. Where they stopped using their brains and just gave in to their primal desires of killings.

And maybe that's why fate brought them here together, it wanted to help them awaken that craziness ahead of time.

And it succeeded too.

The moment these students appeared in the city, by some twisted magic they started losing their sanity and caused mayhem for littlest things. Attracting attention from people they alone couldn't handle.

As there were only a few days left in the war, the infighting stop law had already been applied. Making these bloodthirsty hounds hungry for blood. So when these natives noticed new outlanders appearing in their city, the leader here just threw them into the battleground arena.

If we can't fight each other, can't we just enjoy killing them.

Hence the colosseum was set up.

"Kill them."

"From the right, you sick bastard, your right."

"I'm next, that girl is mine ahahha."

"I'll drink her blood and rip her to pieces."

"Someone catch that dog and tie a leash around his neck."

"Look at that bloodsucker, sucking the life out of him, I bet he could suck my cock just like that too. Ahahah ahhaha,"

"Who threw the baldy in, his head's so shiny I can't see shit. Lol"

"That dog, he's standing up, he's gonna take a piss, fuck, he's not pissing, he's running. The dog's running on two damn legs."

"Would you stop complaining and help me make a plan? Everyone, report what skills of yours are on cooldown and what you can use next?"

"What's the point, we've been at it for 4 days now. Sooner or later we'll all lose, so why struggle and stretch our suffering."

"You..."

The students were all chatting and complaining while recovering their mana, some had given up, while some were still making plans to group together and fight in a team against the oncoming wave so they could survive.

Lone wolfing was good in the beginning but as the number of enemies increased, gearing up together and watching each other's backs became a better option for survival.

Katherine looked at the sky that started to darken and couldn't help but remember him. 'Where are you, Rio?' She thought while asking herself, 'What would you do if you were trapped here along with us too?'

"Believers always say when a door closes, a window opens. That God will always leave a way out for his people. .. .You wanna know what I think, I believe it doesn't matter if the window's open or closed, the point is, why should I bend myself, just to go on a path he created, I'll just fucking blast the wall and walk straight out. .. .

Does that make sense, I don't know, it sounded cooler in my head though."

"haha" She couldn't help but chuckle as she remembered something Rio said to her during one of their training sessions. It really didn't make much sense to her back then, maybe even now, but atleast it gave her an idea. And for now, that was enough.

"Tauba," She said as she stood up and pointed her sword at him. "Are you scared?"

"Katherine, what are you doing?"

"Is she crazy?"

"What does she want?"

The students whispered and tugged at her clothes to pull her back, but she just ignored them and walked towards the stage. "Cause if you're not, then why are you just sitting there like a wet cat, holed up in your mommy's nest (godmother tree's branch) and not joining the battle yourself."

"What..."

"And stop sending these chickens one by one like fish to slaughter, they're all useless bastards anyway, so just send them all, together. My sword's feeling thirsty for their blood."

"....."

Silence, pin drop silence. That's what spread to the whole arena and the audience as they heard her sharp words.

"As you wish." Tauba's words broke everyone's shock, bringing them all out of their surprises.

His words causing a heavy cheer of excitement in the audience, as every living monster picked up their weapon and roared in hunger. Laughing as they could now finally taste blood, and teach this ignorant bitch a lesson.

Ahahah ahahahhah ahaha... .. ×××

Their eyes were filled with madness as they pushed each other and started jumping down the stands.

The sight maddening like hordes of zombies ran and fell down a rabbit hole, or hundreds of ants crushed each other and raced to reach that one sugar piece.

Katherine ignored the questioning gaze of her classmates, and the horrified eyes of those who were just now ready to die, - she just looked at the sky, staring at the dark clouds covering the moon and smiled, seemingly hearing Rio's voice as he said, "You got it, right?"

"I do." She said while taking a deep breath and swinging her sword with all her strength.

An icy blue line extended from the top of a monster's head to his crotch, and then separated his body from left and right, splitting into two. Katherine stepped across the open space between the two halves of the corpse. And only after she took a few steps, did the frost covering that monster's split body melted and red blood started spurting out heavily.

The future goddess of frost finally shows her true might for the world to witness.
